Dopo Pioneer con i prodotti Apple, di cui parlammo nel Luglio dell’anno scorso, anche Clarion ha scelto di motorizzare i suoi nuovi sistemi di car “infotainment” con un OS per dispositivi mobile e la scelta è caduta su Android; la casa giapponese ha, infatti, presentato il Mirage, sistema doppio DIN con display da 6,5 pollici. Stranamente la scelta di Clarion è caduta su FroYo (2.2) ma sono garantite, ovviamente, le funzioni di telefono e navigatore; è possibile leggere musica e contenuti video da SD card oppure divertirsi con Angry Birds, Facebook e la visone delle proprie foto. Per ora il Mirage non sarà disponibile stand-alone ma farà parte dell’equipaggiamento di serie di alcune autovetture vendute in Nord e Sud America anche se non si esclude che possa essere distribuito anche presso le catene specializzate come BestBuy, Mediaworld e le altre più famose.
Clarion too chooses Android for its new Hi-Fi car system
After Pioneer with Apple products, of which we spoke in July last year, Clarion has also chosen to power its new systems car “infotainment” with an OS for mobile devices and it has chosen Android; the Japanese company has, in fact, presented Mirage, double-DIN system with 6,5 inches display. Strangely, Clarion choice fell on FroYo (2.2) but are guaranteed, of course, telephone and navigation functions, you can enjoy music and video content from SD card or have fun with Angry Birds, Facebook and the vision of photo slideshows. For now, the Mirage won’t be available stand-alone but it will be part of standard equipment of some cars sold in North and South America although it is not excluded that it can be distributed also in the specialized chains such as Best Buy, Mediaworld and other famous stores.
