Per una volta non sto scrivendo un articolo per presentarvi un nuovo prodotto nè per offrirvi il video di una nuova recensione (anche se ho una sorpresa in serbo, soprattutto se il nostro grande Lucio riuscirà a mantenere ciò che mi ha promesso) o le foto ed i filmati catturati con il dispositivo del momento. Nulla di tutto ciò! L’ispirazione mi è venuta leggendo l’articolo del nostro immenso Michele (aka PhenoMik) sul rinvio della presentazione del Nexus Prime, originariamente prevista per il prossimo martedì al CTIA di San Diego. In giro per il web i commenti si sprecano ed ognuno cerca di dare la propria personale interpretazione; la domanda è semplice: perchè questa decisione? Senza voler, ovviamente, dubitare della nobiltà del gesto di rispetto nei confronti di Steve Jobs, permettetemi di avere più di un dubbio. Una ragione potrebbe essere tranquillamente quella espressa da Michele sull’opportunità di presentare il Pure Google per eccellenza in un posto diverso da Mountain View, dove la serie Nexus ha casa di diritto. Ma siamo sicuri sia solo questo? Io ho maturato questa idea e nessuno mi toglie dalla testa che possa avere un minimo di fondamento. Noi stessi nei giorni scorsi vi abbiamo presentato foto, filmati e presentazioni che, pur non essendo certi della loro origine, hanno mostrato al mondo degli appassionati Ice Cream Sandwich e, soprattutto, il nuovo “bestio” Nexus Prime. Ed ecco palesarsi, anche nei vostri commenti, i primi dubbi: tutto qui? Ma come, questo sarebbe ICS? E quali sono i grandi cambiamenti? Ma questo sarebbe il Nexus Prime? Così plasticoso? Così “laggoso”? E si potrebbe continuare riportando i commenti di tutta la comunità mondiale che si è espressa sul web. Forse l’annuncio del famoso “unpacked” è stato dato con troppa precipitazione, prima di essere completamente certi che HW e SW fossero realmente pronti. Forse i tecnici si sono accorti che il nuovo iPhone 4S, pur non essendo propriamente una rivoluzione, è già soldout negli States (parliamo solo di prenotazioni) e quindi un rivale ancora molto temibile per il nuovo GE che, forse è opportuno riflettere ancora qualche settimana. Il famoso video, anche qui da prendere “cum grano salis” ha mostrato un terminale, tutto sommato, normale che sembra non sfruttare a dovere le proporzioni dimensioni/usabilità. Insomma, in conclusione, non sarebbe propriamente una sorpresa se il Nexus Prime arrivasse solo per Natale e, magari, profondamente diverso. A voi i commenti.
Nexus Prime, what is hidden behind postponement?
For once I’m not writing an article to introduce a new product or to offer a new videoreview (although I have a surprise, especially if our great Lucio will keepwhat he promised me) or the photos and movies captured with the device of the moment. None of that! The inspiration came to me reading the article of our immense Michele (aka PhenoMik) about postponement of the presentation of Nexus Prime, originally scheduled for next Tuesday at the CTIA in San Diego. Around the Web comments are wasted and everyone tries to give his own interpretation; the question is simple: why this decision? Without wanting, of course, to doubt the nobility of the gesture of respect for Steve Jobs, let me have more of a doubt. One reason may be that expressed by Michele on the opportunity to present the Pure Google for excellence in a different place from Mountain View, where Nexus has the right house. But are we sure it is only this? I developed this idea and no one takes away from the head which may have a minimum basis. Ourselves in recent days we have submitted photos, videos and presentations that, while not being sure of their origin, have shown the world of passionate Ice Cream Sandwich and, above all, the new “beast” Nexus Prime. And here is obvious, even in your comments, questions first: That’s it? But how, would this ICS? And what are the big changes? But this would be the Nexus Prime? So plasticky? So “lag”? And we could go on reporting the comments of the entire world community that has been expressed on the web. Perhaps the announcement of the famous “unpacked” has been given with too much precipitation, before to be completely sure that hardware and software were really ready. Maybe the engineers have found that the new iPhone 4S, despite it is not exactly a revolution, is already sold-out in the States (only talking about reservations) and then a still very formidable rival for the new GE that, perhaps, it should be better to think a few more weeks . The famous video, also here to be taken “with a grain of salt” showed a terminal, all things considered, normal that it seems to not have properly sized proportions/usability. So, in conclusion, it would be really surprised if the Nexus Prime come just for Christmas and, perhaps, very different. To you the comments.
