Microsoft rimuove Andy Lees dalla direzione di Windows Phone 7

Probabilmente il nome non vi dirà nulla, ma Andy Lees è il Direttore Responsabile del progetto Windows Phone 7 in Microsoft; anzi, era il Direttore Responsabile perchè proprio ieri è giunta la conferma da parte di Steve Ballmer del suo allontanamento per essere destinato ad altri ruoli all’interno dell’azienda. La giustificazione sarebbe che Microsoft è in un momento critico ed è totalmente concentrata sul 2012 per Windows 8 e Windows Phone Tango. Evidentemente, come da stessa ammissione di Ballmer, i risultati inferiori alle aspettative del sistema operativo lanciato lo scorso anno hanno portato a questa decisione. Per ora il responsabile ad interim sarà Terry Myerson che prima si occupava della sezione engineering del progetto WP7. Speriamo che la decisione dia la spinta necessaria ad un sistema operativo che, sin dalla sua presentazione, non ha mai soddisfatto del tutto.

Probably the name does not tell you anything, but Andy Lees is the Windows Phone 7 Director Manager Project in Microsoft; indeed, he was the Director Manager because just yesterday has come the confirmation from Steve Ballmer of his removal to be used for other roles inside the company. Justification would be that Microsoft is at a critical time and is totally focused on 2012 for Windows 8 and Windows Phone Tango. Evidently, as Ballmer’s own admission, the results below expectations of the operating system launched last year have led to this decision. For now, the interim manager will be Terry Myerson who, before, was chief of thet WP7 projec engineering section. We hope that the decision to give the necessary push an operating system that, since its presentation, has not fully satisfied.
