Ieri sono state rilasciate le prime immagini leaked della prossima versione di Windows Phone 7 (7.5) Tango analizzando le quali WP7Forum ha scoperto alcune cose molto interessanti. Sembra che Microsoft abbia ridotto le richieste in termini di standard HW tanto che il dispositivo analizzato, HTC Mazaa, sembra possedere solo 256 Mb di RAM, 5.75 Gb di memoria (escluso quelli dedicati all’OS) e fotocamera da soli 3 Mpx. Fra le nuove feature di Tango dovremmo trovare la possibilità nativa di esportare i contatti sulla SIM (finalmente), un registratore vocale per audio messaggi via MMS, la possibilità di gestire roaming nazionali/internazionali e la gestione di allegati multipli per MMS. Proprio in merito alla ridotta quantità di RAM un messaggio avvisa che potrebbero esserci problemi quando si scarica un’applicazione dal Marketplace che richiede notevoli quantità di memoria. Sembra quasi che con questa versione Microsoft stia pensando di estendere il proprio sistema operativo anche su dispositivi low e mid level. Scopriremo tutto al MWC di Barcellona, stay tuned.
First WP Tango leaked shots
Yesterday was released the first leaked images of the next version of Windows Phone 7 (7.5) Tango and analyzing them WP7Forum has discovered some very interesting things. It seems that Microsoft has reduced the required HW standards so that the scanned device, HTC Mazaa, seems to have only 256 Mb of RAM, 5.75 GB of memory (except those dedicated to the OS) and only 3 megapixel camera. Among the new features of Tango we should find the native ability to export the contacts on the SIM (finally), a voice recorder for audio messages via MMS, the ability to manage national/international roaming and managing multiple attachments to MMS. Just on the reduced amount of RAM, a message warns that there could be problems when you download an application from the Marketplace that requires large amounts of memory. It almost seems that with this version Microsoft is planning to extend its operating system on low and mid level devices. We’ll find out all at the MWC in Barcelona, stay tuned.
