Acer ha, finalmente, rotto il silenzio e presentato ufficialmente caratteristiche e prezzi (per gli States) definitivi del nuovo Iconia Tab A510; le dimensioni restano quelle del predecessore A500 da 10 pollici ma il nuovo tablet risulta essere di qualche grammo più leggero arrivando a poco più di 660 grammi. Le novità principali riguardano il processore che, ovviamente, è un quad-core Nvidia Tegra3 ed il sistema operativo, Ice Cream Sandwich. Il display è un multitouch 1280×800 che supporta fino a 10 tocchi contemporaneamente e garantisce un’ottima visione fino a 85°. La memoria interna è da 32 Gb, la RAM è pari ad 1 Gb e sono presenti la porta HDMI ed USB 2.0; la fotocamera posteriore è da 5 Mpx con registrazione HD e possibilità di scattare foto mentre si registra un video. La fotocamera anteriore è da 1 Mpx; il prezzo è stato fissato in 449 $ (escluse le tasse) pari a circa 340 € ma sono sicuro che, come sempre, sarà applicata la “maledetta” conversione 1:1 per cui prepariamoci a vederlo in Italia a 499€.

Acer has finally broken his silence and formally presented final specs and prices (for United States) of the new Iconia Tab A510; dimensions are those of the 10-inch predecessor A500 but the new tablet appears to be a few grams lighter coming a little bit less than 660 grams. The main novelties concern the processor that, of course, is a quad-core Nvidia Tegra3 and the operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich. The display is a 1280×800 multitouch with support for up to 10 touches simultaneously and provides an excellent view up to 85 °. Internal memory is 32 GB, RAM is 1 GB and there are HDMI and USB 2.0 port; the rear camera is 5 megapixel with HD recording and ability to take pictures while recording a video. The front camera is 1 megapixel and the price was set at $ 449 (excluding taxes), around € 340 but I’m sure, as always, it will be applied the “damned” conversion 1:1 so prepare to see it in Italy to 499 €.
