La corsa alla potenza non conosce ostacoli e le case produttrici progettano dispositivi che assomigliano sempre più a macchine da guerra piuttosto che a telefoni. Ci sarebbe da chiedersi “Cui prodest?” A chi giova una simile dimostrazione di forza bruta? Non sarebbe meglio concentrarsi sull’ottimizzazione SW invece che “inquinare” il sistema operativo con mille UI diverse e sempre più pesanti, tanto che poi è necessaria una riserva di energia pari a quella di un reattore nucleare per muovere il tutto? Sono discorsi che vanno a braccetto di Android da quando è arrivato sul mercato ed ancora non si vede via d’uscita. LG sta per annunciare LS970 una bestia con processore quad-core Krait da 1,5 GHz (fa parte della famiglia Snapdragon S4), display LCD da 4,67 pollici 1280×768, batteria da 2100 mAh, fotocamera da 13 Mpx e ben 2 Gb di RAM. Ancora da confermare la scelta dei cingoli 
LG LS970 Eclipse: a war machine
The race for power knows no barriers and manufacturers design devices that look like war machines rather than phones. We might ask “Cui prodest?” Who benefits from this kind of brute force demonstration? It wouldn’t it be better to focus on SW optimizing instead “pollute” the operating systemwith a thousand of different and heavier UI’s, so that then you need a reserve of energy equal to that of a nuclear reactor to move everything? These are speeches that go hand in hand with Android since its arriving on the market and still do not see a way out. LG is about to announce LS970, a beast with 1.5 GHz quad-core Krait (is part of Snapdragon S4 family), 4.67-inch 1280×768 LCD display, 2100 mAh battery, 13-megapixel camera and 2 GB of RAM.
