RIM’s CEO Thorsten Heins uses a Galaxy S3 as second phone
If the success of a new device could depend on the approval obtained from rivals (if it was that it needs it), the Galaxy S3 is set to become one of the most resounding successes of the market; Thorsten Heins, RIM’s CEO, in an interview, said with no problem that his second phone is a Galaxy S3. Obviously the main phone is a BlackBerry (it seems a Bold Porsche P9981 version) but, as the same Heins reveals, it is necessary to stay update on what competitors produce and right now the Galaxy S3 is the best device currently on the market. In a part of the interview that you will find below (in English but I think there is no need for translation) you will also find an interesting response of Heins about iPhone.
I know you’ve been with RIM for a number of years, so I’m guessing you’ve been using a BlackBerry for some time. Have you ever used another smartphone from a RIM rival?
Yes, I absolutely do [use a BlackBerry], however, just to stay educated about the market, I always have a second device that is a competitor device so I know where I am, in terms of the competition.
What other device or other devices do you use?
I have the Samsung Galaxy S III right now.
No iPhone? You’re only using an Android device?
I did iPhone already. I really go across the board, so I had an iPhone before because it was important for me to understand touch devices at the entry level. I had the Samsung Mini for a while. I change them on a pretty regular basis.
