Qualche giorno fa il nostro Loris ha pubblicato l’articolo relativo allo stato dei lavori per l’aggiornamento a Jelly Bean dei dispositivi Samsung più recenti: Galaxy S2, S3, Note e Note2 (in presentazione alla fine di Agosto all’IFA di Berlino). Oggi Sammobile riporta la situazione per ogni dispositivo; Galaxy S3: i test sono terminati e si aspetta il via di Google; data prevista, ma non confermata, fine Q3-inizio Q4. Galaxy S2+ Note: i test stanno procedendo molto velocemente e non sembrano esserci problemi particolari quindi, dato anche il numero di esemplari venduti, se non ci saranno intoppi dell’ultimo momento (in questo caso Samsung potrebbe rilasciare un “Value Pack” specifico), l’aggiornamento si farà. Data prevista: Q4. Galaxy Note2: il nuovo nato arriverà sicuramente con JB ma non si sa ancora se la versione sarà la 4.1 o la 4.1.1; se così fosse l’update a 4.1.1 sarebbe rilasciato nell’arco di un paio di mesi. Data prevista: Q4. Nessuna notizia per i tablet, almeno per ora.
Samsung and Jelly Bean: work in progress
A few days ago our Loris has published an article concerning the status of work to Jelly Bean update for latest Samsung devices: Galaxy S2, S3, Note and Note2 (in a presentation at the end of August at IFA in Berlin). Today Sammobile shows the situation for each device; Galaxy S3: the tests are completed and they are waiting for Google agreement; expected date, but not confirmed, late Q3 or early Q4. Galaxy S2 + Note: the tests are going very quickly and it does not seem there are special problems and, since the number of units sold, if there are no last minute hitches (in this case Samsung might release a specific “Value Pack” ), the update will do. Estimated date: Q4. Galaxy Note2: the new born will surely come with JB but it is unknow if the version will be 4.1 or 4.1.1; if that were the update to 4.1.1 would be released within a couple of months. Estimated date: Q4. No news for the tablet, at least for now.
