Prima di imbarcarlo sul volo che lo porterà negli Stati Uniti, ho voluto confrontare il mio Galaxy Note con il nuovo Note 2 che, grazie a Lucio, ho ritirato lo scorso giovedì. Non sarà una comparazione su prestazioni e features dato che le caratteristiche tecniche dei due dispositivi sono ormai note a tutti gli appassionati, ma un confronto volto ad evidenziare il lavoro di affinamento che Samsung ha svolto sul Note 2. La prima sensazione, almeno per me, è assolutamente negativa: la riduzione della risoluzione da 1280×800 a 1280×720 (a prima vista insignificante) comporta una minore libertà di personalizzazione della home quando non si utilizzino launcher alternativi (che non amo particolarmente) perchè le icone sono leggermente più grandi e, di conseguenza, occupano più spazio, come si vede chiaramente dall’immagine. Il passaggio al formato 16:9, invece, ha giovato alla manegevolezza ed all’usabilità del Note 2 che, adesso, può essere utilizzato con una sola mano senza grosse difficoltà. Galaxy Note vs Galaxy Note 2, main differences
Before boarding it on the flight that will take it to the United States, I wanted to compare my Galaxy Note with the new Note 2 that, thanks to Lucio, I retired last Thursday. It will not be a comparison of performance and features as the technical characteristics of the two devices are well known to all fans, but a comparison aims to highlight the work of refinement that Samsung has done on Note 2. The first impression, at least for me, is absolutely negative: the lower resolution passed from 1280×800 to 1280×720 (at first glance insignificant) means less freedom to customize the home when you are not using alternative launcher (which i don’t particularly like) because the icons are slightly larger and, consequently, occupy more space, as is clearly seen from the image. The transition to the 16:9 aspect ratio, however, has benefited the manageability and usability of Note 2 that now can be used with one hand without much difficulty.
